Cassper Nyovest ready to fight AKA in the ring; “There’s nothing he can beat me at”

Rapper Cassper Nyovest wants to make it clear that he isn’t afraid to step into a boxing ring with AKA.
Speaking on the boxing match proposed by AKA that set Twitter on fire a few weeks ago, Cassper wants Mzansi to know that he can take on the Supa Mega.
“But from the bottom of my heart, if there’s something that I want people to know is that in terms of getting in the ring with him, I’m not against that. I’m not against getting in the ring because boxing is a sport and I’m very competitive and I don’t think there’s anything that he can beat me at,” he said during an interview with Slikour on Instagram Live.
Cass made it known that nothing was confirmed as far as “contracts are concerned” and that the proposal wasn’t a new idea as he had also previously mentioned it. However, the rapper said for him it was just wrong timing and the approach AKA used put him off.
While he isn’t willing to tell Mzansi if he’ll reconsider the boxing match at a later stage, the one thing the rapper is sure of at the moment is that he will never be able to forgive AKA for insulting his parents the way he did.
“I won’t be able to ever like forgive for (insulting) my folks,” he said.

DJ Tira, Anga Makubalo accused of breach of lockdown regulations

DJ Tira and NaakMusiQ have been accused of breaching government’s lockdown rules – The two musos both own houses at the Willowbrook Estate in Ruimsig, Johannesburg –
Tira’s neighbour, Benjamin O’Neil, reportedly opened a case with police against them for allegedly breaching government’s lockdown regulations.
DJ Tira and singer NaakMusiQ have been accused of breaching Mzansi’s coronavirus lockdown regulations. Tira’s neighbour, Benjamin O’Neil, has reportedly opened a case with police against the Thank You Mr DJ hitmaker for allegedly contravening government’s lockdown rules.
The case was opened at Honeydew police station on Friday. NaakMusiQ, whose real name is Anga Makubalo, is also reportedly being probed for the same offence. The two musos, who are also neighbours, have collaborated on many successful music projects.
They both own houses at Willowbrook Estate in Joburg, where home prices reach multiple millions. The same neighbour who opened this case, Benjamin O’Neil, got into a physical altercation with DJ Tira’s wife that resulted in a police investigation in November last year.
It has been confirmed that Tira and NaakmusiQ’s properties are among five at Willowbrook Estate in Ruimsig that are under police investigation for contravening lockdown regulations.
“These five houses are all friends with one another [sic] and under normal circumstances I don’t care, but they are moving in between houses and visiting one another during the period of lockdown. “One minute you see them at Khathi’s and the next at NaakMusiQ’s house. It’s back and forth all the time. As far as I know, about three or four men reside in NaakMusiQ’s house. But you will see a woman popping up and they continue to bring female friends. “How is that possible during the lockdown?
Why are there females at Willowbrook that don’t live here?” O’Neil also accused Tira’s son, Junior, of taunting him. Tira complained that O’Neil has been targeting his family for some time now. “We never got along and we are even looking into signing a petition because we just want to live in peace. He has been monitoring us, but honestly we just go to the store for essentials. I can’t help that he sees things that are not there.”
NaakMusiQ, who is also an actor, said he has stuck to government’s lockdown guidelines and is also adhering to the strict security measures as set out by the estate body corporate. Police spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo confirmed that no arrests have been made yet. “Investigations are continuing and the details of this case cannot be divulged at this stage.”

CORONAVIRUS IN SOUTH AFRICA
NETCARE
KINGSWAY HOSPITAL
DURBAN – Netcare has closed its emergency department and stopped all new patient admissions at its Kingsway Hospital in Amanzimtoti in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak at the facility.
The group instituted a similar move last week at its St Augustine’s Hospital, also in KwaZulu-Natal, before deciding to shut down the facility completely.
Netcare said that it had traced the outbreak to a patient who was admitted at the facility on 4 April.
The patient did not display any symptoms of COVID-19 when he was initially admitted, however, after displaying flu-like symptoms he was tested and it emerged last week Wednesday that he had the virus.
Netcare said that it had traced all healthcare workers who may have interaced with the person who tested positive for COVID-19 at its Kingsway Hospital and has asked them to self-quarantine.
The group said that all potentially exposed patients had also been tested.
The group refused to detail the number of patients and health workers who had tested positive at the facility despite having done so with the St Augustine’s matter.
Netcare now said that only the Department of Health and the NICD could reveal the statistics.
Trade union Nehawu has called on the Health Department to intervene.
The union’s KwaZulu-Natal secretary Ayanda Zulu: “The Department of Health is not reigning over the private health sector which we think it thinks that it has a monopoly over health.”
Meanwhile, the department’s Sandile Tshabalala said that a team had been deployed to the hospital on Wednesday to investigate the outbreak.
At the same time, KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu said the latest coronavirus outbreak at Kingsway Hospital was extremely concerning.
Simelane-Zulu said she was looking into how Netcare was handling the matter at the hospital.
The MEC’s spokesperson Noluthando Shezi said: “We will continue to monitor the situation and we expect consequence management if negligence is found on the part of the hospital.”

NOT DANCING TO HIS TUNE – TWITTER USERS TURN ON MALEMA FOR DEFENDING DJ SHIMZA

Eff leader Julius Malema was berated and accused of having double standards when he tweeted in defence of DJ Shimza, who had been lambasted for shooting down an aspiring deejay during the online Lockdown party
– Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema is the latest casualty in the weekend-long reaction to DJ Shimza’s unpopular response to an aspiring deejay, who asked to join his #LockdownParty line-up during Friday night’s online session.
Malema followed in the footsteps of former party spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, who called on irate fans to accept Shimza’s apology, urging all to “move on” and support the initiative, which was inspired by the nationwide lockdown.
Malema was berated and accused of having double standards when he tweeted: “Never be shaken by rubbish young man. You worked very hard to be where you are and can’t be destroyed by those who suffer from self-hate. Apology accepted, now continue playing good music.”
Last week, the EFF laid a criminal complaint with the South African Police Service against Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams despite her apology for contravening lockdown regulations when she joined former deputy minister Mduduzi Manana at his home for lunch.
An image of the meeting, which was posted by Manana on his Instagram page, caused a stir and motivated calls for President Cyril Ramaphosa to take strong action against the minister.
The president suspended Ndabeni-Abrahams for two months, with one of those being without pay, and the Saps have confirmed they are investigating the matter against the minister.
Some have asked if Malema’s party expects them to accept DJ Shimza’s apology, why did they not do the same for Ndabeni-Abrahams?
The EFF’s leader has been the subject of name-calling, with some going back into the archives of his political career to support their statements.
At least there is a happy ending to how the debate began, the aspiring deejay at the centre of the row has been contacted by DJ Black Coffee and other industry players to have his shot at trending…for the right reasons.

The pastor from Virginia, US, succumbed to the coronavirus weeks after holding a church service –
Bishop Gerald Glenn vowed to keep preaching unless he was in jail or a hospital – The deceased clergyman’s wife, Mercieta Glenn, was also said to have been infected with the coronavirus.
The lead pastor at The New Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Richmond- Virginia, US, has passed away a week after contracting Covid-19.
Bishop Gerald Glenn held a church service even after social distancing rules were enforced, vowing to keep preaching unless he was in jail or a hospital.
The pastor held a jam-packed church service on March 22, urging followers to stand up and prove their numbers. This was just after warnings were given over holding large gatherings in the face of the pandemic. On Sunday, 12 April, the church gave an announcement through its Facebook page confirming the pastor had died.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Bishop Gerald O. Glenn, the founder, and pastor of New Deliverance Evangelistic Church on Saturday, April 11, at 9pm.
Please be in prayer with us for mother Marcietia Glenn, our first family, and the NDEC church family.”The church asked for respect towards the family, promising to give more details regarding the burial arrangements. “We ask that you respectfully allow our first family to grieve in their own way, we will announce final arrangements within the next few days.
Be blessed and don’t stop praying for one another,” the church added. It was reported by TMZ that during the last service, the bishop said he was proud of being controversial for violating safety protocols.
The deceased added he was an essential worker as he was a preacher and would talk to God. His wife, Mercieta Glenn, was also said to be infected with the coronavirus.

Ramaphosa will respond on Friday to demands to lift booze ban
By: illovuonline news team
15-04-2020
President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked the Gauteng Liquor Forum to give him until Friday to respond to a letter demanding changes to the lockdown regulations.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked the Gauteng Liquor Forum to give him until Friday to fully respond to its letter demanding the lifting of, or changes to, regulations banning alcohol sales under lockdown rules.
In a letter addressed to the forum’s legal representative, Eric Mabuza, the presidency said it had noted concerns expressed by the forum.
“The National Command Council, the presidency and other relevant parties are meeting again this week, specifically to discuss the details of government’s economic assistance programme. This includes assistance offered to small businesses such as those of your clients, and other measures to mitigate the effects of the lockdown extension,” the state attorney said on behalf of the presidency.
Gauteng Liquor Forum threatens to go to court if ban on sale of alcohol is not lifted
The Gauteng Liquor Forum has given government until Tuesday to lift or amend the regulation on the total ban on the sale of alcohol, or it will …
“We anticipate that the results of these discussions may well have a bearing on the issues raised by your client. Therefore, in order to be in a position to respond to your letter fully, we ask that you afford us until close of business on Friday April 17 to respond to your letter.”
The letter made reference to a number of initiatives that the government had put in place to help small businesses – including a tourism relief fund that members of the forum could benefit from.
In its letter, the forum initially gave Ramaphosa until Tuesday to respond to its demand to lift or amend regulations on the total ban on the sale of alcohol, or it would approach the Constitutional Court.
The forum, representing 20,000 micro and small businesses in Gauteng, said they operated in pursuance of their financial wellbeing and in the exercise and protection of their legal and constitutional rights.
“More importantly, the lockdown regulations restrict the movements of persons and goods. In particular, regulation 11B(1)(b) provides that all businesses and other entities shall cease operations during lockdown, save for essential services and goods,” the letter read.
The forum said since the declaration of the national state of disaster, its clients’ businesses had been “gravely” affected by the ban on selling alcohol.
In a true demonstration of a nation united against a pandemic, a group of pilots has taken the initiative to transport food, medical supplies and medical personnel to remote villages and townships in rural areas across the country. The group named ‘The Covid Flight’, are pilots who work tirelessly with passion, dedication and commitment to collect food from farms and other collection points and deliver it to citizens in serious need.
